Sekar Bakung is a batik brand specializing in hand-drawn batik and natural-dye batik, showcasing Banyuwangi’s distinctive motifs through traditional canting techniques and plant-based dyes such as mahogany, mango leaves, tree bark, and ketepeng leaves. Each piece carries warm, organic color tones and a naturally elegant character, with the Gajah Oling motif serving as its signature symbol—a reminder of the greatness of God Almighty. Produced in limited quantities of around 10–20 pieces per month, Sekar Bakung offers exclusive batik fabrics and clothing rich in cultural philosophy and firmly rooted in Banyuwangi’s artistic heritage.
About Sekar Bakung
Sulistyianing Dyah Sinta Dewi, known as Dyah, has dedicated the past 13 years to preserving Banyuwangi’s cultural identity through authentic, environmentally friendly batik craftsmanship. As the founder of Sekar Bakung, she blends traditional canting expertise with a deep understanding of natural dyes to create pieces that are unique, graceful, and meaningful. Dyah believes that batik is an expression of identity and cultural beauty, and through her work, she hopes that each piece allows people to experience and appreciate the depth, artistry, and heritage embodied in Banyuwangi batik.
