Pringgokusumo
Pringgokusumo is a batik brand that works across various techniques, including hand-drawn batik, stamped batik, and combination batik, with a strong emphasis on quality and durability. Using selected fabrics, wax, dyes, and motif stamps, Pringgokusumo produces batik fabrics, ready-to-wear clothing, scarves, udeng, and other batik products. One of its signature motifs is Blarak Sempal, inspired by dried coconut leaves—symbolizing resourcefulness and the meaningful use of natural elements. With a monthly production capacity of around 150 fabric pieces, each creation is crafted with careful attention to detail to ensure lasting value.
About Pringgokusumo
Deasy Endang Handayani, the founder of Pringgokusumo, began building the brand in 2010, driven by her deep love for art and batik. With approximately 15 years of experience, she has refined her skills in hand-drawing (canting) and hand-coloring (nyolet), which define her creative process. Deasy believes that high-quality batik must balance aesthetic beauty with strong craftsmanship. To preserve traditional techniques, she applies color-fixing methods to ensure the colors remain vibrant and long-lasting. Through Pringgokusumo, she remains committed to creating batik that honors tradition while delivering consistent quality.
