Kapuronto
Kapuronto is a batik brand offering stamped batik, semi hand-drawn batik, and hand-drawn batik, inspired by traditional Banyuwangi motifs that are refined and updated to match modern trends and market preferences. The brand is known for its harmonious and non-overpowering color combinations, resulting in elegant and versatile pieces. Customer favorites include stamped batik and abstract tilisy art, which create a modern visual texture while still honoring local heritage. Kapuronto produces batik fabrics, clothing, and traditional Banyuwangi fashion accessories, with a monthly output of around 350 fabric pieces. To maintain exclusivity, each design is intentionally produced only as a pair or up to a maximum of four pieces, except for uniform orders.
About Kapuronto
Fidya Ayu Widanti, the owner of Kapuronto, has developed the business since mid-2018 together with her husband, Imam Zumhuri. Over her seven years of experience in batik, Fidya has continually learned from experienced Banyuwangi artisans to preserve traditional techniques while applying innovative touches to her designs. Her work is inspired by classic Banyuwangi motifs—such as the beloved Gajah Oling, symbolizing remembrance of the Creator—which she adapts into fresher, more contemporary patterns. Fidya hopes Kapuronto’s creations offer comfort and confidence to those who wear them, and that her work helps bring batik closer to people as a cultural expression that remains relevant and appreciated across generations.
